#001 - Cat Adalay: Aurea Technologies

In this episode, we catch up with Cat Adalay, CEO and Founder of Aurea Technologies. Aurea Technologies are a team of self-proclaimed outdoor enthusiasts with a love for renewable energy who wondered, “why there aren't more products on the market that let people easily create their own wind power?” After 5 years of designing, testing, and refining, they figured it out and launched their first product, the Shine Turbine. In 2021, the Shine Turbine launched on Kickstarter and reached its funding goal within an hour. Five days later, the first production run of 500 Shine Turbines had sold out. Following the success of the Kickstarter, Shine launched on Indiegogo Indemand and went on to receive support from over 2,000 crowdfunding backers from 50 countries.
