014 - Casually Committed

from The Impeckable Perspective

In today's episode we discuss the one topic that I struggle with the most, submitting your will to the Lord. I don't know why this is so difficult, but it is for many. For me there is an inherent sense of loss of identity when I think about what it means to submit your will to the Lord. But I love being wrong about things like that! There is a strong message in the world that we have to do things on our own in order for us to have any kind of sense of accomplishment and purpose. But God's way is to let Him show us the way to become who He knows we can be. And we can't do that alone. The culture of the church wants you to submit to their will, which is not God's will. They want you to follow the checklist so you believe you will be loved and accepted.  Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
