Because stories expand our knowledge and understanding of the world around us--especially how God has worked in people's lives throughout history. Because stories introduce us to people whose lives challenge and inspire us to do great things in our own generation. Because stories provide common points of reference for each member of the family. Because stories draw us together emotionally.
