When Colonel Tempest, his reckless son Archie, and enchanting daughter Diana (Di) discover theyve been cut out of the will by their wealthy uncle, old Mr. Tempest, their lives take a dramatic turn. In a fit of rage fueled by alcohol, Colonel Tempest impulsively places a £10,000 bounty on Johns head, a decision he quickly regrets. Meanwhile, fiercely independent Di, who has sworn off marriage, finds herself drawn to her cousin John as they spend time together. As John uncovers the truth about his birthright, he grapples with his growing feelings for Di and the potential impact on his claim to the familys legacy.
