Born in Springfield, Ohio, Gregory grew up in an intensely creative household. His father was an Air Force illustrator and multi-disciplinary artist, while his mother and siblings nurtured music, harmony, and visual expression.Although Gregory initially pursued music—singing in gospel groups, choirs, and fronting bands—his artistic path shifted decisively while working physically demanding railroad labor. That moment sparked a lifelong commitment to visual storytelling and design.Gregory earned an Associate’s degree in Commercial Art and began a successful career with the Dayton Daily News, working across marketing, advertising, and editorial art departments.
