08 Hebrews 5:9 - 6:20 (Eternal Security - Part 1)

That rest is not for after we die, but also for while we walk on this earth and represent Christ. * Last week, we saw Christ is the causation of our "eternal salvation." Eternal salvation refers to an everlasting deliverance that was caused and granted by God Himself through Jesus Christ. That statement would seem to end all discussion regarding eternal security; however many people still debate this topic. * Today we begin to consider a passage (Hebrews 6) that is many times turned to in order to demonstrate that you CAN lose your salvation - and thereby NOT have eternal security. However, this portion is more involved than can be properly handled in one session.
