I sommeren 2023 bliver Frihedsbrevet kontaktet af en kvinde ved navn May-Britt Koed. Hun er en del af en gruppe, der kalder sig DKRG – Danish Korean Rights Group. Gruppen består af adopterede fra Sydkorea, som bruger deres tid og ressourcer på at undersøge adoptionspapirer. De har fundet adskillige uoverensstemmelser i sagsmapperne og mener, at de sydkoreanske og danske adoptionsbureauer har omgået loven og menneskerettighederne for at formidle børn til Danmark.
