Kicking off the school year by evaluating the question is college truly worth it? He has done significant work at the local Detroit History Society educating himself on the rich history of the city. Most notably, he was born, raised, and completely educated in Detroit. Attending a DPS school himself. He not only educates but lives out the meaning of giving back to the city which gave to him. Marcus D. Hester is a DPS product, a Detroiter at heart, an educator, a husband, and a role model.
