1 Timothy 2:1-7 | Prayer and Preaching the Gospel to All People (Lee Tankersley)
from Cornerstone Community Church - Sermons · host Cornerstone Community Church
Sermon 4 of 15 in Series through 1 Timothy ______________________________________ Small group questions - 1 Timothy 2:1-7 1. Since it is so much easier (and perhaps we’re more apt) to complain about government leaders (at any level) rather than pray for them, what can we do to help ensure that we’re regularly praying for those who govern us? 2. If one benefit of being able to live a quiet peaceful life is that it more easily enables us to spread the gospel (reflecting God’s desire for all people to be saved), then what are some opportunities to share the gospel we want to take advantage of and want others to pray for us about? 3. What would you say to someone who says that surely the remote people group who have never heard anything about Jesus but are earnest in worship will be saved at the last judgment? 4. Since Pau’s exhortation in this text is to pray for our leaders so that we might live a quiet, peaceful, godly life, taking the gospel to all people, let’s spend some time praying for our local, state, and national leaders as well as leaders in other parts of the world.
