Melissa introduces identical twin sister book authors Joceyn and Jessica Davis from different locations in New York. Jessica has Autism and illustrated the book Jocelyn wrote on a Sibling point of view of having a twin with Autism. We cover so much in this show, listen in , learn and be inspired!! Jessica and Jocelyn Davis are twin sisters who were born on October 21st 1983. When Jessica was born, her parents were told that she was “untrainable”, and it was recommended that she be put into an institution. The doctor’s advice was ignored. This book is based on situations encountered throughout the early years of Jessica and Jocelyn’s relationship. Currently, Jessica has beaten all odds. She has her Bachelor’s degree in History from the State University of New York at Albany, and currently works for the State of New York. Her favorite color is purple, and in her spare time, she enjoys writing and drawing. She is the illustrator of this book, and has also been featured in ARTism and the movie Normal People Scare Me. Jocelyn has a Master’s Degree in Education from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and has worked with students of all ages. Jocelyn is a jack of all trades, and enjoys sports, travelling and spending time with her family and friends.
