from The Purple Path with Ayelle · host Ayelle

The art of slow creativity and taking the pressure off, the beauty of growing older and getting to know ourselves better. Flores gorgeous debut album “The Lives They Left” and her journey of being a mother whilst releasing music as an independent artist, protecting our right to be soft hearted creatives, finding ways to connect deeper with our roots and culture, honoring our ancestors and so much more.Flores is a contemporary R&B artist. Her dedication to her art stems from her family's history as Mexican Americans in the border city of El Paso, Texas. Though living abroad in Western Europe for many years, she adopts the phrase “ni de aqui, ni de alla” that she’s from neither here nor there. She envisions a world without borders, a world in which we can travel to our homelands safely and abroad freely. We are global citizens and Flores finds it her duty to convey that message through the art of spoken word. Flores released her first debut album titled "The Lives They Left" in 2022, in which she honors her elders who were field workers in the United States. Through her journey as a musician, a writer, a mother and a woman, Flores has found the confidence to explore artistic freedom while remaining true to herself.
