Dear Families of Room F1, We’re going to have a great upcoming week. Below is a short description of what’s coming up and important links and/or announcements: Watch These Announcements on Video Here Mr. Gray’s Class Podcast Class Website Valentine’s Day Exchange Monday, February 14th No School February 18th and 21st (Teacher Work Day and President’s Day) Read Across America Day (Read all day)- Wednesday March 2nd Open House Thursday, March 31st Multiplication and Division Facts Practice  Spelling Words - The kids will receive the words Tuesday, practice during the week, and take the quiz on Friday. Follow along with our Wordament! Reader’s Workshop The kids will work together to create posters comparing and contrasting characters from different books to wrap up our Character Studies unit. Writer’s Workshop The kids will publish their last essay for the baby literary essay unit. They will take all the evidence they’ve gathered from across their book to support a claim about a charter. Math What happened to math class? We will continue our fractions unit by studying how to compare fractions and looking at fractions greater than 1. Social Studies We will wrap up the current chapter by studying some of the documents and symbols that bring us together as Americans. Science No science this week. Thank you, Mr. Gray
