In under 72 hours, the US military, under Operation Epic Fury, destroyed Iran’s conventional navy using Tomahawk cruise missiles and F-35s. This decisive action, described as overwhelming by President Trump, crippled Iran’s sea power and protected shipping lanes. Despite Iran’s retaliatory strikes and propaganda, the US remains focussed on neutralising the threat and allowing a new era to form in the region.The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is using kamikaze-style boats and drones to threaten shipping lanes in the Straits of Hormuz, causing a 70% drop in traffic. The US Navy, focussing on offensive tactics, is targeting the IRGC’s infrastructure, including anti-ship missiles, drones, and ballistic missiles, to eliminate the threat and reopen the straits. The US is utilising a combination of cruise missiles, F-35s, and other precision-guided munitions to achieve this, with the potential for a regime change in Iran within a few weeks.
