    18. Trish Morgan’s Magical, Fantastical Imaginarium

    Release Date: 12/09/2019

Description: In this last episode of Season 1, Semester 1, Trish Morgan takes our listeners on a magical mystery tour of her Innovative Invention Imaginarium, a maker space and technology laboratory built with a sizable award from Farmer’s Insurance, and with the helping hands of her middle school students at Honolulu’s Stevenson Intermediate. It is not in Trish’s DNA to see limits; she apparently fears nothing and sees each waking minute in and out of school as another opportunity to guide, coach and mentor young people towards the better angels of their nature. Her kids are making many things: Most notably, at least this year, they are making prosthetic and accessibility devices for real clients. Yes, fingers for a classmate born without them: A bionic hand for a school alum who fell victim to nectrotizing faciitis (flesh-eating bacteria): A wearable, all-purpose sensor for a young woman who lost her sight. And much, much more. Trish, in her resume, describes herself as an “Innovative, hands-on, and compassionate educator, offering fourteen years of experience in teaching, counseling, professional development, and teacher leadership. Highly qualified English Language Learner (ELL) and Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) teacher, with proven expertise in leading students toward academic and personal excellence. Equipped with outstanding ability to make learning accessible to all students through differentiated teaching strategies, positive encouragement, and individualized support.” In terms of awards and grants, we know this about Trish: 100K Farmers Insurance Dream Big Teachers Challenge National Grant: 2017, Lex Brodie’s Above and Beyond Award: 2019, Hawaiʻi Society for Technology in Education, Making It Happen Award: State of California $10K Best Buy Teach Grant. Trish is from California, where she got her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from California State University in Hayward (she graduated cum laude). To learn more about her Imaginarium, Google Trish Morgan; she has been in the news – TV and print – in Hawaiʻi, a lot.  The post 18. Episode 27, “Halloween Kills”

    Release Date: 11/09/2021

Description: This week John and Trish are watching the sequel to the reboot-sequel of Halloween. They don’t know what’s going on, but they go forward regardless. This episode begins with a conversation about the Saw franchise and ends with watching a preview of the next movie to be viewed: Thinner. In between John and Trish are amused and slightly baffled by this second-in-a-trilogy-that-is-kinda-a-quadrilogy. There are no screams from Trish, and John is very cute.

Ep 77, Trish Hammond: Plastic Surgery Hub

    Release Date: 08/18/2016

Description: Trish and her team at Plastic Surgery Hub genuinely believe in the physical and emotional benefits that can come from quality plastic surgery. They also believe that surgery is not the answer for everyone. It is their hope that everybody will be able to make confident informed decisions about plastic surgery and through their forum, find the support and friendship that makes the process more rewarding. Trish has long provided advice and support for women considering and undergoing plastic surgery. After her own experience with weight loss surgery and significant breast and body procedures, she came to the realisation that quality and first hand information about surgery was difficult to come by. She sets about compiling real stories of men and women undertaking procedures as well as interviewing surgeons to provide a balanced, useful perspective on plastic surgery choices. Cutting through the sales pitch and hype, she continues to bring home the real issues around plastic surgery and helps you get the most out of your surgical procedures.
