He is a former infantry Captain with the United States Marine Corps and has been instrumental in helping develop and teach the Marine Corps Combat Hunter Program to his fellow marines, military, law enforcement officers, and civilians.

 His book, Left of Bang, has been recommended to me over and over again and, a couple months ago, I finally picked up a copy. I think read it in two days - I could not put it down.
