13. Identity in Christ: Known & Seen

In this week’s episode we discuss another important identity in Christ : Known and Seen.We often get overwhelmed  with the duties and responsibilities of our roles as students, teachers, wives, mothers, friends, etc. We can become consumed with living up to the expectations that the world has placed upon us.   We end up believing that our value lies in what we’ve accomplished and what we will continue to achieve, while deep down feeling like we will never be good enough. When the days leave us exhausted and weary, a dark loneliness can settle in. Does anyone see all that I do? If only people knew what I was really like, would they still love me? Forget the accomplishments, crush the accolades, wipe out what we have or haven’t achieved. Does anyone see us for who we fully are? Does anyone  know the fullness of our true selves? The answer is YES! Our Lord, who has known us before we were finished being knit together in our mother’s wounds, has set His loving gaze upon. He KNOWS, SEES and loves us, not for what we’ve accomplished, but simply for who we are: HIS!
