14. La Rioja - the best known wine area in Spain where there are close to 600 bodegas (wineries).

Wine, wine and wine.  In this episode we explore the La Rioja wine region of Spain. We stay Haro the capital of La Rioja in an old convent and jail.  Haro has 20 bodegas in the small city all around the train station. We tell you why and when this happened.  We taste all sorts of wine in a couple of the famous bodegas.  Then, one of our WOW days, we take a trip to Laguardia.  This little medieval wine village sits on top of a hill surrounded by vineyards with the backdrop of the fabulous Cantabrian Sierra mountains.  Listen as we have a wine tour in a church built in 11th century and explore the underground wine storage caves and tunnels.
