16. Safer Together

from The Canine Condition · host Jacqueline Piñol

The Canine Condition. Come. Sit. Stay. Welcome to The Canine Condition Podcast. My name is Jacqueline Piñol. I am an actor, a documentary filmmaker and an animal rescue advocate. My guest on the podcast today is Cynthia Bathurst, a co-founder of Safe Humane Chicago a non profit organization. Safe Humane is committed to breaking the cycle of violence through trauma-informed care and programs that bring together abused or neglected shelter dogs – in particular Court Case Dogs™ – with youth and adults impacted by violence, challenged by poverty or extreme trauma in order to help and support each other. The programs focus on education, advocacy and second chances for people and for animals. The Canine Condition podcast is a platform to bring awareness to dog adoption and to provide all dog lovers and families with information and resources on how to raise a healthy and well balanced dog. If you are thinking about getting your first dog, or just want to know where and how you can help a dog in need, this is also a place for you.
