#171 Awareness must proceed learning

Growth Instigators Hotline970.306.6432The other day I was driving to work the same way I have 100’s of times.  It’s a 5-7 minute drive from my house.  And out of nowhere a new 3 story building appeared.  I mean it had to have been built over night! No way have I driven past this building every day and never noticed it! Thank you for calling GIH where we instigate growth one call at a time where we utilize antiquated technology to deliver 3-minute leadership lessons every week day!  This is message #171 and I am Aaron Havens.So the big idea for today, the take away is an idea I heard from Paul Scanlon: “Awareness must proceed learning”.Have you driven past buildings for years as well?  Have you missed things that are right in front of your face?  OR I could ask the reverse… How many of you have considered buying a car and then out of nowhere you start to notice how many of those cars are actually on the road!  That’s right.  How aware are we?  Sometimes I think I’m pretty aware, and then, suddenly, three story buildings appear out of nowhere.  Haha!As we move into a new week, are you aware?  And let’s break it down to a singular focus.  Are you aware of yourself?  What are your thoughts, how is your health, are you overwhelmed, are you underwhelmed, are you in a groove, is what you do invigorating, are you a kind person, do you add value to the people around you?  On and on and on and on we could go.  Do you ask yourself questions?  Do you seek to understand and learn?  Are you aware?  Again… awareness proceeds learning.  How can we learn if we aren’t even aware?  Aren’t even asking?  Not looking for answers and staying curious and taking it all in.  The saying goes like this…  When the student is ready, the teacher appears.  That’s right.  If today you are ready to learn about you, others, the world… then you will be blown away.  And the most advanced and serious among us will notice, learn and adjust.  So to you my friends, may we be aware and brace to take it all in today!Thanks for calling in today.  Tune in tomorrow for a fresh new topic.  At the sound of the beep, can you think of one thing you would like to learn today?  Where is one area in your life you need to be a bit more observant and aware today?https://growthinstigators.com/
