Shannon is a warrior, battling more than just one debilitating illness and currently healing from a double hip replacement and overcoming some unexpected complications. She pushes on one foot in front of the other. She is truly an inspiration to many. This girl has grit, she is not stopping because it feels too damn good to feel good, feels too damn good to love and to feel connected to others, to nature and to her Higher Power. Her passion is to share her story and inspire others to give themselves a chance to heal. Shannon will walk with you along the way. In Shannon's words: Our journey as a family along the bumpy road of addiction, mental illness and recovery. My addiction allowed me to hide from my pain and struggles of feeling like a failure as a single mom until I hit my darkest place thinking my kids would be better off without me. In this hopeless, despairing state something beyond me hit me, I finally surrendered and called out for help. That is when I learned that alcoholism is a disease, a family disease and it takes a team to recover as a family.
