from Growth Instigators Hotline · host Aaron Havens

Growth Instigators Hotline970.306.6432Go and Go and Go and Go andThank you for calling GIH where we instigate growth one call at a time where we utilize antiquated technology to deliver 3-minute leadership lessons every week day!  This is message #178 and I am Aaron Havens.I’m not a surfer, I do know how to surf though. Does that make sense? I mean, I’ve gone surfing a handful of times in my life. It took me a while to learn the mechanics of surfing and I even caught a few pretty fun waves. Living in middle of America I don’t get to the ocean much at all. So obviously I’m not really a surfer. What I do know about surfing is that you’ve got to read the waves and wait for just the right one. And when you see it, you have to paddle and kick like you really want that particular wave. Once you’ve got momentum, the next steps are to execute the technical moves the best you know how to stand up. The rest is up to the wave. Did you read the right wave? Did it break when you thought it would break? How can you manipulate your situation to ride the wave as long as you can? Now, isn’t that the truth!  Have you done all that you can do? After you’ve paddled and kicked and fought and gone for it, the rest is up to the wave. So today, go and go and go and go and… Let the results be what the results will be. Some things are out of your control. Did you do all you can do? did you leave anything on the table?  Worrying and stressing and carrying the weight of that thing beyond what you already have could be dangerous.  Much of life is out of our control. May we be a people that focuses on the things that we can control, and let the results be what they are. Ride the wave for as long as you can after you’ve done all you can to catch it!The challenge lies in waking up tomorrow if today things did not go your way. Decisions were not made in your favor.  Outcomes would have been differently if you were in charge. How do we wake up tomorrow full of energy ready to go just as hard as when things were going our way.  That’s the two part challenge for today.  1) Go as hard as you can today.  2) Be ok with the outcomes either way.  Anything beyond that might lead to a heart attack! Thanks for calling in today.  Tune in tomorrow for a fresh new topic!  At the sound of the beep have you caught a wave lately?  Have you enjoyed the ride? https://growthinstigators.com/
