Mike Eisenhart comes on the show today for a great discussion into health promotion/prevention models in healthcare along with discussing some solutions on how to implement this into healthcare education. He also talks about the phenomenon of how beliefs within populations shift, difficulties with advocating population health to policy makers/companies and strategies to overcome them, and how prevention/health promotion needs to be addressed synergistically within different levels in a population.   Mike's Biography: Mike Eisenhart is a physical therapist who is an industry leader in health prevention and promotion. He serves as managing partner of Pro-Activity, with over 15 years of experience in physical therapy, prevention, health & fitness, performance training, and healthy nutrition. Mike is the founder of Free the Yoke, The academy of prevention and health promotion therapies, and the man behind the #SummerofMOVE craze. He has held posts at the local, state, and national levels for the APTA including president of the NJ chapter from 2015-2017.  He is a faculty member for the Institute of Clinical Excellence where he teaches the Allied Health & Health Promotion course which a 12 week online course designed to equip the learner with the resources and network required to fundamentally shift their career towards preventative care in a profitable manner.
