Growth Instigators Hotline970.306.6432I hope you’re not using this kind of toothpaste!Thank you for calling GIH where we instigate growth one call at a time where we utilize antiquated technology to deliver 3-minute leadership lessons every week day!  This is message #193 and I am Aaron Havens.I’ve been to Haiti probably 5 times in my life.  These trips were usually short and sweet.  A week at a time.  Packing was pretty simple and routine.  On one particular trip I forgot my tooth paste.  And yeah, that is a luxury I really enjoy.  So I had my friend to me to the local market so I could buy some.  And guess what.  The store he took me to only had 1 kind of toothpaste.  Can you believe that?!  Oh crazy is that!  I mean, what if I want “super whitening” power… or “mega cleaning” or “minty fresh colorful” toothpaste?  Are you kidding me!  Picking a toothpaste in Haiti was simple… do you want some or not.  In America, that is usually a 5-10 isle of me picking between all the different shapes and sizes and what my mouth needs the most.Haha.My friends, let’s talk about the paradox of choice.  Here are some random thoughts.  Might you relate?-Sometime more is less!  Too many choices can make it difficult to make a decision. People may feel paralyzed and unable to choose at all.  For me this means standing in the toothpaste isle for way too long.-Fear of Missing Out (FOMO): With so many options, people worry they might choose poorly or miss out on something better, leading to regret or dissatisfaction.-Increased Expectations: More choices often raise expectations about finding the "perfect" option, making it less likely any choice will meet these high standards.-Regret and Second-Guessing: After making a choice, people might feel regret, wondering if a different option would have been better.Where in your life if the paradox of choice causing stress?  Maybe it’s time to minimize.  Simplify.  Limit our choices.  Be ok with “good enough”.  Be thankful for what we have.  Yeah, whatever toothpaste you use will probably be just fine! Thanks for calling in today.  Tune in tomorrow for a fresh new topic.  At the sound of the beep, where could having less options make your life better?https://growthinstigators.com/
