Programmet handler om Brain Computer interfaces. Det betyder dybest set en computer, som du kan styre eller interagere med gennem hjerneaktivitet eller tanker. BCI kan bruges til at overvinde fysiologiske handicap: Teknologien vil kunne få lamme til at gå, og patienter uden mulighed for at kommunikere til at gøre sig forståelige. Men langt ude i fremtiden findes drømmen om Augmented Intelligence, eller Supermennesker: At vi med en indbygget chip i hjernen vil kunne lære nye sprog på én dag, have fotografisk hukommelse. Eller som både Elon Musk og tv-serien Black Mirror forestiller sig - at man vil kunne downloade minder fra vores hjerner og genafspille eller overføre dem til en anden krop.I dette program taler Marie Høst med Mads Rovsing Jochumsen, lektor på Aalborg Universitet, der har skrevet en PhD-afhandling omkring hjernestyrede computere og arbejdet indenfor området i godt 10 år.Sune Alstrup er tidligere medstifter og direktør for virksomheden The Eye Tribe, der blev solgt til Facebook / Oculus VR i december 2016. I dag investerer Sune i teknologi startups og er bla investor i og medlem af bestyrelsen for NextMind - et brain sensing device til gaming i augmented eller virtual reality.Nanna Schmidt Nordestgaard taler med Martin Gerster Johansen, der er udstillingschef på ENIGMA, om novellen Johnny Mnemonic af William Gibson, hvor hjernen spiller en helt central rolle.
