The Summer Olympics will officially kick off Friday with a first-of-its-kind Opening Ceremony in the heart of Paris, France. The event is expected to last nearly four hours and will feature dozens of boats floating down the Seine River carrying thousands of Olympic athletes to the Eiffel Tower. The French weather service said Thursday rain showers could hit the Paris region when the ceremony takes place.
