Release Date: 09/16/2021
Description: Food can be such a funny thing! We can love it and we can dislike it, but we all have to eat it! This is why food is such an important topic when it comes to learning more about our ADHD brain! Did you know that the food we choose to eat can affect our behavior, mood, and overall emotional regulation! It's tricky when one is picky, the texture isn't quite right, or the appetite isn't there due to a side affect of medication. It's easy to fall into a habit of eating easy foods that just fill the body, but too often the food choices aren't helping our minds! This episode is meant as a conversation starter to begin talking about what type of eater you are and what is being put in your body each day. There is zero shame attached, only an opportunity to self-reflect, learn, and grow! Next week, we will be hearing from two dietary experts (follow them on IG @nourished.beginnings.kids) who specialize in working with kids who have ADHD! They are passionate about helping kids who may be picky eaters, and others who simply need to make better food choices to decrease ADHD struggles and increase daily success! Message me to share your child's story and voice as they discover more about their brilliant ADHD brain! You can also message me to order a personalized copy of my children's book, "Hi, It's Me! I have ADHD" www.katelynmabry.com or [email protected]
