According to a CNBC account survey, 57 percent of the public has had some form of streaming service, and this number is rapidly growing. But does this all mean to you? Well, this enables businesses and companies to now build a larger viewer audience and set themselves up as an authority. As we all know that the power of TV creates that something special. TV is a powerful media for getting your message across. It produces results like no other media. We aren't talking about adverts, though. What we're talking about today, it's about you having your own TV channel streaming , streaming into millions of homes through Roku and Amazon fire. So if your business is on people's TV sets, well, your show is evergreen. It's always there. There's always going to be people looking at it. You'll reach a new audience and of course, you'll reach a worldwide audience on Roku and AmazonFire. Roku currently has over 40 million active accounts in 2020. And these figures are rapidly increasing with their push to expand into Europe. Roku has a base of 40 million active subscribers, which could be a possible one hundred and twenty million viewers based on households with three or four people in them. Roku is the number one streaming platform in the U.S., with the most hours streamed. Now, Amazon Fire TV currently has 40 million active accounts as well in January of 2019. Remember, this is users, not viewers. There could be three to four people in each household. So the combined viewers could also be around 200 million. The subscriber numbers that I just told you about, are pre pandemic. People have gotten into the habit of watching streaming TV channels like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney plus, they are looking for entertainment. They're looking for educational programs and instructional shows. In the UK alone, it's estimated that streaming TV has overtaken pay-TV for the first time in 2018. The figures are fifteen point one million for pay TV and fifteen point four million for streaming TV. This signifies that the trend for watching broadcast TV has continued its fall since 2000, with those viewers switching to streaming TV. If what if you have a reason to be on on streaming TV? Well, it builds awareness for your business. If people don't know about your business, they can't become your customers.
