#23: Collective Effervescence, Screaming at Boybands & Barely Surviving Our 20s

from Can’t Cope

Kelsey could not cope with collective effervescence and now we know why she was crying over The Late Late Toy Show. Rebecca is disgusted by the fact that, while she’s working, people have the audacity to ask her to actually do work for them. The girls have a catch-up: Kelsey had her parents over in London for the weekend and they had loads of fun, from a bad roast dinner to pints in the beer tent at Winter Wonderland. Rebecca can’t get over seeing Five live as she was screaming her heart out for the best boyband from her childhood. She’s also been soaking up the Christmas vibes around Dublin, including a visit to a festive market in Smithfield called Twinkle Town. This week’s topic is “How did I survive my 20s” as the girls look back on the wild nights, empty bank accounts, and the thrill of just starting out. Kelsey recalls leaving the club for a kebab and heading straight back in for more. Rebecca shares stories from her early London days that felt like something out of a movie. Despite it all, they lived to tell the tale, even if their financial priorities included skipping meals but never skipping a caramel macchiato. Hosted on Acast.
