The Ford Family Read Aloud Jake & Katie Ford A podcast for families and children who love to read and listen to stories! Bab Ballads (version 2) by W. S. Gilbert Loyal Books The Bab Ballads are a collection of light verse by W. S. Gilbert, illustrated with his own comic drawings. Gilbert wrote the Ballads before he became famous for his comic opera librettos with Arthur Sullivan. In writing the Bab Ballads, Gilbert developed his unique "topsy-turvy" style, where the humor was derived by setting up a ridiculous premise and working out its logical consequences, however absurd. The Ballads also reveal Gilbert's cynical and satirical approach to humor. They became famous on their own, as well as being a source for plot elements, characters and songs that Gilbert would recycle in the Gilbert and Sullivan operas. The Bab Ballads take their name from Gilbert's childhood nickname, and he later began to sign his illustrations "Bab".Nothing else quite like the Ballads has ever been produced in the English language. They contain both satire and nonsense, as well as a great deal of utter absurdity. The Ballads were read aloud at private dinner-parties, public banque Shaun unlocking untold stories Shaun Phillips So many stories can end up left in our heads, on a scrap of paper or an unfinished manuscript. My mission is to empower Christian authors and others, with the keys to unlock their untold stories. Also available on Youtube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4nGEyPc2pvYwke3xm9SoOAOther social links - https://linktr.ee/shaunph- Learn to tell stories better- Build the confidence to get your story out of your or drawer and into the world- Learn acting techniques to gain the skills to read aloud, film and narrate your stories- Free those untold stories and let them bless the world Papercasts from The Tower PHS Multimedia Tower Multimedia presents stories from Princeton High School's student-led newspaper, read aloud. You can find more from the Tower at https://towerphs.com/
