24 | Do you see what I see? Ensuring Intergrader Reliability

from TrainSmart: The Medical Device Educators’ Podcast · host Cumby Consulting

Our goal for training assessments is for everyone to pass. We want our learners to feel confident with their new knowledge when they walk into their evaluation. An important part of that is grader reliability and consistency. If grader A and grader B score the same answer on completely different ends of the spectrum, our learners will feel deflated when they get the "hard graders". That's not the goal. Learners need to know they are being graded fairly & consistently. Today's episode focuses on strategies for creating intergrader reliability. Liz & Rachel discuss how to create safe spaces for your learners, train your graders, get them on the same page, and more. If you didn't catch Liz & Mara's whole conversation, make sure to go back and listen to episode "22 | More than a Smile Sheet". There is more great discussion on intergrader reliability!
