275 Johnny Crowder: Train Your Brain to Think Healthier Thoughts

from Neff Inspiration · host Neff Inspiration

Growing up with mental illness gives you a very interesting perspective on life and how the human brain works. After pursuing a psychology degree and launching Cope Notes, the mental health technology company, Johnny Crowder has learned countless lessons about neuroscience, positive psychology, and resilience. Trying to manually force healthier thoughts to occur inside of the brain is kind of like trying to bench press 500 pounds without years of training. Through trial, error, and years of personal experience, Johnny has learned how to effectively train the brain to think healthier thoughts in a practical, sustainable, life-changing way. Johnny Crowder is a 29-year-old suicide/abuse survivor, TEDx speaker, touring musician, mental health and sobriety advocate, and the Founder & CEO of Cope Notes, a text-based mental health platform that provides daily support to users in nearly 100 countries around the world.                                      3 top tips for my audience: 1. See if you can surprise your brain and interrupt old thought patterns 2. Get into the habit of challenging negative ideas 3. Start a gratitude checklist (10 things method) Social media and contact info. How can viewers contact you after the interview? Please list your social media handles and websites.
