278. Launee Wolverton- Purses with a Purpose

Launee Wolverton founded the Purses with a Purpose fundraiser in 2019 with a mission to support homeless and battered women by providing them with purses filled with essential hygiene products.The initiative began with Launee’s heartfelt posts on Facebook, where she encouraged women to donate gently used purses along with items like soap, shampoo, feminine products, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and scarves. The response was overwhelming, and donations started pouring in. Today, Launee and her team pack these purses and distribute them to shelters around the Treasure Valley. Remarkably, they receive at least one donation every day.In addition to individual contributions, several charitable groups in the valley have also supported the cause.
