This Episode is an act of pure Grace ! In May 2023 , a group of artists and spiritual seekers were gathered on a beach in Anatolia -Turkey celebrating the present moment ...when I suddenly felt the unstoppable urge to make this recording . I implored a talented Sufi musician to please improvise a piece while our dazzling Iranian poet would read Rumi in its original language : Farsi . It is absolutely electrifying to listen to poetry sounds exactly as the Poet intended. It's a direct transmission from heart to heart . There is no need to understand it with logic, the seduction is immediate ! As Rumi meant it to be . What an honour to have this opportunity to receive Rumi with the original vibration and rhythm of his own language , untainted by translations. The reading is an extract from the beginning of the first book of Rumi's MASNAVI . The Masnavi is comprised of 6 books, and is considered the last and most important composition of Rumi. His legacy to the lineage of the Whirling Dervishes. He started writing it when he was 54 years old while living in Anatolia, and continued until his death 12 years later on 17 December 1273, leaving the last book unfinished. The Masnavi contemplates the Longing and the Emptiness that vibrates the fullness of our lives and the density of our bodies .
