35. In Her Daughter's Memory, A Mission of Kindness

from Office Flip Flops with Francesca Zampaglione · host Francesca Zampaglione

Dianne Grossman, founder of Mallory's Army Foundation, or as Dianne humbly mentions, the Foundation that found her, is today's guest. Mallory’s Army was formed in July of 2017, after the tragic, unforeseen death of of her daughter, Mallory Rose Grossman. At the precious age of 12, Mallory took her life after months of bullying at school and online. Dianne and her husband, Seth, created a Foundation that was only the beginning of their mission to end bullying. They championed a state law that was just signed by Governor Phil Murphy of New Jersey on January 10th of this year, which improves protection for students by increasing penalties for parents and guardians. This law also mandates school districts to strengthen bully-prevention policies. Mallory's story has been documented in a film and you can watch the Trailer for Mallory, the movie for suicide awareness or purchase Mallory the movie on Amazon or Apple iTunes. Dianne and Seth hope to reach people all over the world and that their journey acts as a reminder to always be a positive force, standing up against bullying. Now that's really something. To continue the conversation with Dianne, you can contact her at Mallory's Army website contact page and if you would like to support Mallory's Army, you can make a donation and purchase something at Mallory's Army website.
