352 Michelle Gordon: How I left my multi-million dollar surgical career and live the life I want

from Neff Inspiration · host Neff Inspiration

In Michelle's words: I ran a multi-million dollar surgical practice from 2005 to 2020 and grew it to 5 surgeons. I was already burned out from many sleepless nights and the overall lack of empathy for doctors by corporate medicine.  All the overnight call, lack of sleep, and generalized discontent with medicine led to severe overwhelm and burnout. My life as I knew it was no longer sustainable.  Then Covid hit. I walked away from my successful practice to recover from burnout and overwhelm. I discovered suffering is optional and it's possible to heal from burnout quickly with the right tools.  I initially focused on menopause in my podcast and business. While menopause was a serious disruption for me, as I developed curriculum around menopause, I realized I didn't care much about the condition, and I care a LOT more about personal transformation and behavior change.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
