#36: The Tao, Seeking Simplicity

from Spiritual Attunement through Meditation · host Randall Okey

Today we’ll be looking at Diane Dreher’s 1990 book The Tao of Inner Peace. Seekers for centuries have found inner peace by following the Tao Te Ching. Translated more than any book but the Bible, Lao Tzu’s volume of 5000 words has helped people live through turbulent times by revealing the deep source of peace within. Lao Tzu wrote the Tao over 25 centuries ago as a handbook for leaders. In ancient China, to lead wisely meant to live wisely, to seek personal balance and integration with the cycles of nature. Lao Tzu’s teachings assume special importance today as we seek not only peace of mind but peace in our world. Searching for new patterns of harmony and everything from holistic health, psychology, and physics to ecology and social action, people are rediscovering the wisdom of the Tao.As always, we will include the preparatory meditation attunement techniques suggested in the Edgar Cayce readings which will then be followed by a few minutes of meditative silence.https://www.edgarcaycenyc.orghttps://edgarcayce.orghttps://www.amazon.com/Tao-Inner-Peace-Diane-Dreher/dp/0452281997/ref=asc_df_0452281997?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=693549278788&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=9478108970494070595&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9004809&hvtargid=pla-569204201966&psc=1&mcid=bee34ecc96693909b2a29e4372d2c863&dplnkId=f2335908-848d-44ae-bf68-336f392c1eb0&nodl=1Available on most podcast platforms, including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Overcast.#Meditationpractice #mysticalchristianity #meditation #oneness #edgarcayce #god #spiritualsearch#associationforresearchandenlightenment#tao #innerpeace#simplicity
