Following graduation, she found herself working with influencers and rekindled her passion for the entertainment space working with music companies such as RECORDS, Visionary Music Group, and Atlantic Records. Beyond entertainment, she was crucially involved in Strength to Strength – an organization for kids affected by 9/11 and terrorism where she had the opportunity to speak at the United Nations on terroristic extremism vs. racial & religious bias, as well as peace treaties. As someone who grew up in a household where she had to be resourceful at a very young age, Shames is an advocate for entrepreneurship and aspires to inspire others to take a chance at any age. She is the Founder of Women PowHer Music – a community focused on empowering women in the music business, which is a cause incredibly important to her.
