About Rich: Rich Robinson is EVP and Global Head of Synchronization and Media Original Music at Warner Chappell Music (WCM). In this role, he oversees music licensing opportunities for the publishing company’s global business across film, television, advertising, production music, and more. Based in Los Angeles, he reports directly to Warner Chappell’s Co-Chair and COO Carianne Marshall. He also played a key role in helping to launch the Creative Services department from the ground-up, which helps WCM’s A&R, sync and digital teams identify new and untapped commercial and creative opportunities for its songwriters and rich catalogue of music. Robinson first joined Warner Chappell in 2018 as EVP of Sync and Creative Services, where he was responsible for leading the company’s sync activities outside of the U.S. While in that role, his team was named Music Week’s “Sync Team of the Year” in the UK, both in 2019 and 2020. Prior to joining Warner Chappell, Robinson spent five successful years at Warner Music, where he was VP, Sync of Warner Music UK and Europe. During his time at the record company, he placed a large number of tracks in major adverts, including the UK’s coveted John Lewis Christmas campaign for two years running with songs from Lily Allen and Gabrielle Aplin. He also established and oversaw music supervision for films and TV, including Netflix’s Residue, and feature length films such as Kill Your Friends and I, Tonya. Robinson started his career at Saatchi & Saatchi in 2003 as a Music Consultant, before moving to EMI in 2007 as Business Development Manager and quickly rising through the ranks to become VP of Sync.
