A clone is conformed to the image of the world; a believer transforms into the image of the Lord Jesus Christ. God’s ultimate goal of mankind was to become like His Son; He is not trying to make us clones. Clones are influenced to become like other people because the world always pressures by association. But God is trying to develop our character so we are walking in the very best version of us that there can be. This is who we are predestined to be. We want to be conformed to the likeness of Jesus, but all this happens through transformation. Transformation is me becoming who I really am through yielding to God and through that process, everything happens effortlessly.
