from Heavy Metal History: The Podcast · host Dustin K.
Welcome to this weeks episode of Heavy Metal History. My guest this week is multi instrumentalist Matthias Sollak of the band Harakiri for the Sky. Harakiri for the Sky is an Austrian band formed in Salzburg and Vienna in 2011 by vocalist JJ (Michael V. Wahntraum) and multi-instrumentalist Matthias Sollak, formerly of black metal band Bifröst. They have released three studio albums – Harakiri for the Sky (2012), Aokigahara (2014) and III: Trauma (2016) – via German record label Art of Propaganda. Their fourth album "Arson" will be released on February 2018 also through Art of Propaganda. Matthias came on the podcast to discuss the writing and recording of Arson as well as his early heavy metal influences and how working by himself writing all the music has given him the most creative freedom.Follow Harakiri for the SkyFACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | BANDCAMPFollow the Podcast!Facebook InstagramYouTube
