#53 James Vear - Coach education within basketball

In today's episode of the Mind Set Game Podcast, I sat down with James Vear. James is the current GB U-16 basketball Head Coach. He joined Barking Abbey in the 2014-15 season, bringing a wealth of international experience with him. Having started coaching with Sevenoaks Suns, he stayed there four years before taking over Medway Park Crusaders' Academy, helping them gain promotion to NBL Division 1. James would then move to Canada to take up a lead assistant role at Dalhousie University before taking a lead assistant position with the Great Britain under 20 Men in the summer, helping them gain promotion to Division A in his first year. James was then offered his first pro coaching job in Denmark with the Aalborg Vikings Basketball Club, where he picked up Coach of the Year while leading them to a team record for wins and their first playoff appearance.
