A few clouds this morning with mild temperatures in the 60s. Another pretty nice day today as we warm up a bit from yesterday. Partly sunny with high temps in the mid to upper 80s. On-shore winds stay breezy at the coast. A few showers lift up from Central Florida this evening & tonight, but outdoor plans during the day stay dry. Weather pattern turns wetter with scattered showers & a few storms Thursday & Friday. The weekend forecast highly dependent on what Tropical Storm Cristobal does. Given the current forecast keeping Cristobal away from Florida, tropical moisture still spreads over the area. That means scattered showers & a few rumbles of thunder Sat/Sun/Mon with temperatures in the 80s. We’ll update the First Alert Forecast as we get closer. TROPICS: Tropical Storm Cristobal meanders in the southern Gulf of Mexico through Thursday, then moves due north toward the Louisiana Gulf Coast by late Sunday. Makes landfall as a tropical storm as of this forecast. Cristobal is NOT headed toward Jacksonville, but tropical moisture LOOSELY related to Cristobal will be close by our area through the weekend, but our local rain threat is highly dependent on Cristobal’s track, movement, and strengthening. We’re tracking.
