#6 Mariam, what brought you from Senegal to France and now to Germany?
from Geschichten aus dem Leben · host Felix Kupferer
This episode is a very special one, as it's the first one recorded in English. And also because it comes with yet another, very special guest with interesting stories to share: Mariam! Born in Chad and raised in Senegal, she has since moved to and lived in Europe, first in France and then in Germany. She did her studies in France and then came to Germany to be with her then boyfriend, now husband, whom she met in Montpellier, as well as to start her career.Mariam is a great example for how unpredictable life can be, and how amazing that is! She studied in a field that's totally unrelated to her current job, couldn't have imagined living in Germany just a few years back (although she now even thinks that German is a "sensual" language, which I had never heard anybody say before!) and has never lost touch with her roots, even after all these years living in foreign countries. Thus, we talk a lot about life in Senegal, entrepreneurship in Africa, Mariam's experience living in France and Germany and about the importance of giving back. An episode full of insights, laughter and love, as well as a real conversations between friends - like the previous episodes, just in a different language.
