6: The Heart: Essential Insights into Self-Care Pillar #3

from Special Needs Motherhood is a Walk in the Park with Morganlee Yoga · host Morgan Carpenter

Do you know the answer to this question: What do you like to do for fun? A few years ago, I didn't know. My answer was always something along the lines of, "Um, I don't. I'm a mom. I clean and try to survive. I don't have time for hobbies and even if I did have time, I don't even know what I enjoy anymore." And then I would laugh it off. But looking back now, that's really sad. I'm sad for myself back then, because now my life is full of so many hobbies and interests that fill my time with rich and happy moments. I missed out on that for so many years. So, if you're that mom, if you don't know the answer to that question, then I think it's time we find out. And if you do know the answer, well, I still think you should be here because today we are talking about the third pillar in our self-care journey: emotional health, the heart, finding the things that bring us joy, and purposefully planning those into our days. It's about creating more connection in our lives and our relationships, and it's also about processing our emotions.
