An increasingly confident Lady Bird hits the campaign trail yet again as her husband makes a bid for the U.S. Senate. She's not just smiling and shaking hands anymore. She's becoming a political force. Lady Bird meets Jackie Kennedy, a young congressional wife. Just a few years later, their husbands would square off in a contest to be the Democrats' choice for the U.S. presidency. LBJ settles for being Kennedy's vice president, but tragedy thrusts the Johnsons into the world's spotlight .
