Frank Weiss startte zijn carrière mid jaren 80 als officier bij de voormalige Rijkswacht en ging daarna als commissaris over naar de Federale Gerechtelijke politie. Hij werkte er achtereenvolgens bij de sectie “Geweld” en de sectie “Mensenhandel / Moord”, waar hij mee enkele veelbesproken “high profile” zaken behandelde. In 2016 stapte hij over naar de “Computer Crime Unit” waar hij werkte in het domein van Cybercrime en computer gerelateerde misdrijven tot aan zijn recentelijk pensioen.
