Unless God opens the eyes and ears of our understanding, we will never grasp the truth of God's plan contained in scripture. God anoints His called preachers to teach His elect. (Ephesians 4:11-13) Solomon wrote, "Because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; he gave good heed, sought out, and set in order many proverbs" (Ecclesiastes 12:9). This wisdom is not human intellect; it is God's illumination revealed through His servants by the Holy Spirit.
