#62 CARNAL CORINTH
from MY GOSPEL @ Desmond R Singh · host Joe McCormick
Paul's two epistles to the church in Corinth were letters of correction sent to an apostatizing assembly. Paul established the church on the right foundation, yet it quickly became carnal under Apollus's influence. It was a lively assembly, but an undisciplined one. Despite the mechanics of religious activity, the church had taken on a spirit of disorder and emotionalism. The Corinthian church lost the simplicity of Christ, leaving itself open to the beguilement that deceived Eve—thus providing an insightful lesson for the Body of Christ today. Listeners (with ears to hear) will discern God leading Pastor Singh while at the pulpit. He is an extemporaneous preacher, meaning that he never prepares a sermon beforehand. To those unfamiliar with how the Holy Spirit guides the ministry, this message is quite revealing. September 27, 2020
