Levantamento recente do Instituto Florestal, órgão do governo paulista, indica que ainda existem quase 6 milhões de hectares de cobertura vegetal nativa no Estado, ou cerca de 3% dos mais de 24 milhões de hectares que compõem o território paulista. Acontece que essas áreas de preservação estão em risco, principalmente no período de estiagem, que vai de julho até o final de outubro, quando são registrados incêndios cada vez mais intensos a cada ano. Dando continuidade a nossa série de entrevistas hoje o convidado é João Godoi, membro da Operação Corta Fogo, da Secretaria de Meio Ambiente do Estado de São Paulo. João também é bombeiro civil e tem pós-graduação em Urgência e Emergência pela Universidade Nove de Julho. A entrevista é do jornalista Renê Gardim.
