(7 MIN) Introducing the Dissemination and Implementation Group, with co-lead, Dr. Jill Marsteller.

from The Insights Caught in Translation Radio-Podcast · host The DIG

Welcome to the Insights Caught in Translation Radio-podcast (ICTR)! This podcast is offered by the Dissemination and Implementation Group (DIG), a collaboration between several dissemination and implementation (D&I) researchers bridging Johns Hopkins and the University of Maryland, Baltimore through the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR). This series focuses on speaking with guests about how they have seen scientific knowledge put into effective medical practice or how D&I approaches might help to facilitate movement along the research spectrum from bench-to-bedside. If you want to know more about scientific approaches to help studies be more effectively turned into evidence-based practice, how to get people to pick up your useful information, and how to get them to use it sustainably, then this is the podcast for you. This first episode features a conversation between Dr. Jill Marsteller, co-lead for the DIG, and show host, Dr. Shannon Cole. Here, the two talk about Dr. Marsteller's background, how implementation science evolved to what it is today, and how implementation science provides a useful set of approaches and models tohelp  practitioners to use existing interventions well.
